• Ordinary server logs, kept a short time for security and fixing problems.

Please don't send us your case

We can't take complaints or give legal help. If you've been treated unfairly, go to the office on the rights page that handles it, so your report reaches someone who can act and your deadline is protected.

Analytics

None right now. When we add it, it'll be open-source software on our own server, with no cookies and no stored IP address, and this section will name it.

Fonts

The typefaces are served from this site, so loading them doesn’t send your IP address to Google or any other font service.

Cookies

This site doesn't set tracking or advertising cookies, so there's no consent banner. Links go to the agencies and organizations named, which are ordinary links. More on links below.

Affiliate links and cookies

There are none on this site, and The Record and the rights page will never carry them. If a sponsor link is ever added to the email, it'll be labeled, and the company's site may set its own cookie under its own privacy policy.

Why we use your information

• Email list: only with your consent, when you sign up. You can withdraw it anytime with the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Emails you send us: to read and answer them, because you asked us to.
• Server logs: to keep the site secure and working, which is our legitimate interest.

How long we keep it

• Email list: until you unsubscribe.
• Emails you send us: only as long as we need to reply and follow up.
• Server logs: a short time set by our web host, then deleted.

Who else handles it

Only our web host and our email list provider, once the list is connected. They may process data in the United States or other countries, under their own privacy terms. We don't sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

What you can ask for

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or move your information, object to or limit how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@blackamerican.ninja and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re in the EU, the UK or Switzerland and you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We don’t track you across other websites, so every visit is treated the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
